Here is a step-by-step guide to recover your RJUSD account: Account Recovery Guide

Step 1: Access the Password Reset Portal
- Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com in your browser.
- Enter your RJUHSD email address:
- Staff: yourusername@rjuhsd.us
- Students: yourusername@student.rjuhsd.us
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification.
- Click Next.
Step 2: Choose a Verification Method
Select one of these pre-configured options:
Option A: Security Questions
- Click "I forgot my password" → "Use security questions"
- Answer all security questions exactly as you set them up (case-sensitive).
- Click Next to reset your password.
Option B: Microsoft Authenticator App
- Select "Use my Microsoft Authenticator app"
- Open the Authenticator app on your phone and approve the notification.
- (If you have multiple accounts, select your RJUHSD account).
- Enter the code shown in the app if prompted.
- Click Next to reset your password.
Option C: SMS Text Verification
- Select "Text my mobile phone"
- Enter the last 4 digits of your registered phone number.
- Check your phone for a code via SMS.
- Enter the code on the screen.
- Click Next to reset your password.
Step 3: Reset Your Password
- Create a new password that meets RJUHSD’s security requirements:
- At least 12 characters
- Include uppercase + lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
- Cannot reuse recent passwords.
- Passphrases are recommended
- Confirm the new password.
- Click Finish.
Step 4: Sign In
- Sign in with your email and new password.
