Parents/guardians should be aware of the possibility that dangerous synthetic drugs can be found in counterfeit pills and that there is a risk of social media platforms being used to market and sell synthetic drugs, such as fentanyl. Information about the dangers associated with using synthetic drugs that are not prescribed by a physician, such as fentanyl, is available on the District’s website. Education Code § 48985.
