CalKIDS Scholarship Opportunity

Beginning in the 2025–26 school year, local educational agencies (LEAs) are required to inform students and their families about the California Kids Investment and Development Savings Program (CalKIDS) and students’ potential eligibility. CalKIDS, administered by the ScholarShare Investment Board, offers state-funded scholarships for all children born in California on or after July 1, 2022, to help cover qualified higher education expenses. Scholarship amounts range from $25 to $175 for all eligible children, with larger awards of $500 to $1,500 available to low-income students. Scholarships are automatically created but must be claimed using the student’s Statewide Student Identifier. Roseville Joint Union High School District (RJUHSD) fully supports this program and is committed to providing information and resources to ensure all families are aware of and can benefit from CalKIDS opportunities.
