Degrees and Certifications:
Titan Proud since 2014.
I am thrilled to be part of a tremendous staff at Antelope High School! My pedagogical approach resides in my deeply held belief in the power of educating the whole student as they prepare for the world beyond high school. My classroom balances academic rigor as well as real-world skills such as communication, organization, critical thinking, repect and kindness.
Currently I teach the Honors/ AP Euro block with Mr. Lundquist in addition to to two sections of AP psychology. The content for both courses is dense and challenging. I firmly bleieve in collaborative classrooms and encourage my students to engage in meaningful, academic-based conversations therefore students are very much a part of the learning experience. We utilize a myriad of support materials including Albert IO, Review books, study groups and mandated Titan 28 time to review and practice.
Outside of school, I am a wife and mother. I have two boys (both in middle school...you remember those days, right?). They keep me incredibly busy with their activities and shenanigans; both run cross country for the middle school and compete year round on a traveling club water polo team. Our summers are completely booked with tournaments and travel every weekend and usually culminate in a trip to the Junior Olympics, which means coming back to school means a sense of balance, structure and normalcy I sincerely start to miss near the end of summer!
