Alissa Bezinque has nearly 20 years of experience as an all-ages music educator, and enjoys bringing elements of other cultures into her classroom. Alissa joined the Oakmont family as a choir teacher in 2017. She earned a B.A. in Vocal Music from BYU–Hawaii where she performed solos in operas, musicals, recitals and other concerts. She performed as a frequent soloist with members of the Honolulu Symphony and received many vocal talent awards and scholarships. Alissa has directed more than 20 musical productions over the years, including school programs and concerts for elementary, middle, high school students. Alissa has led church choirs for more than a decade. As a piano and voice teacher, she prides herself on teaching music fundamentals, and cultivating each student’s strengths and abilities. Her voice students have won local and regional awards and talent contests.
In addition to music, Alissa loves going to the beach, watching SF Giants games, and spending time with her family. Alissa’s husband teaches social science at Cordova High School. She has four kids who also love to sing!
