California Education Code (Ed. Code) requires written parent AND physician documentation for any medication (including Over-The-Counter, OTC medications) to be administered at school.
ALL medications, with the exception of an Epipen for life-threatening allergies and an Asthma inhaler, must be kept in the Health Office. Students are allowed to carry an Epipen or Asthma inhaler with written parent request and physician orders on file.
Medication Authorization forms must be completed each new academic school year.
