Training for New Van DriversTo become a District van driver, complete the following:Step 1 ~ Complete 'Use of Vehicle on School Business' form AR 3542.5aStep 2 ~ A) Complete Online Defensive Driving Course (approximately 2 hours in length). https://ddt.dgs.ca.gov/~ B) Upon Completion of the course, Print the Certificate, Sign & Date.Step 3 ~ Visit the Transportation Office to turn in your training certificate. Please also bring your current CDL, & completed AR 3542.5a form.
To operate the Defensive Driver Online Training, please ensure that you meet the following system requirements:

Approval can take up to 48 hours.NOTE: All volunteers/drivers must have DOJ/FBI fingerprint and TB clearance per Administrative Regulation 1240. This process starts at the school site by submitting a completed volunteer application to the school.
