Intern Program
Roseville Joint Union High School District is proud to currently partner with the following universities to provide quality internship opportunities:

School Based Wellness Centers provide a robust experience for those working toward a degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, pupil personnell credential or as a professional clinical counselor.
MSW II, MFT, PCC, PPS Learning Opportunities:
- Bio/Psycho/Social, and carry a case load providing individual support to teens
- Co-facilitate student groups - anxiety, depression, social skills, substance use/abuse
- Assist drop-in teens at the Wellness Center
- Participate in professional meetings
- Case Management - Meet with Community Partners
- Participate in weekly group or individual supervision with an LCSW
- Become trained in:
- Risk Assessments
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Mental Health First Aid - Youth and Adult
- Motivational Interviewing
- Administer the Behavioral and Emotional Rating Scale (BERS)
- Teen Intervene - Substance- Individual support to teens
- Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS)
MSW I Learning Opportunities:
- Bio/Psycho/Social, and individual support to teens
- Co-facilitate student groups - anxiety, depression, social skills, substance use/abuse

- Participate in weekly group or individual supervision with and LCSW
- Become trained in:

BSW Learning Opportunities:
- Student Attendance Support - 1:1 meetings with teens
- Bio/Psycho/Social - shadow an experienced post graduate social worker
- Co-facilitate student groups - anxiety, depression, social skills, substance use/abuse
- Individual check-in with students
- Participate in professional meetings
- Case Management
- Participate in weekly group supervision
- Become trained in:
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Mental Health First Aid - Youth and Adult
- Motivational Interviewing
- Teen Intervene Tobacco - Individual support to teens
