Oakmont Hall of Fame Inductee - 2018
Coach Gary Judd- Student Athlete Class of 1965-1974Coach Judd was the first Head track coach (66-73) and first football assistant coach at Oakmont (65-72). He taught PE and Math, and was Dept. Chair for PE and Driver's Training. He later went on to coach track and cross country at Sierra College. He created the Roseville Coaches Association. Coach Judd helped build the original unfinished TRACK that, with Jimmy Nitta, was built with a mixture from the mound of dirt sitting away from the original school buildings. He coined the original PRIDE room: P-Pay the price, R-Respect, I-Intelligence, D-Discipline, E-Execution. He led Oakmont to championships in both football and track, two times each.
