Oakmont Hall of Fame Inductee - 2018
Stan Skidgel- Student Athlete Class of 1973Stan played Offensive line for the Vikings for all 4 years. He was also a member of the baseball team all 4 years. Stan was the Varsity pitching ace for his sophomore, junior and senior years. He was 2 time 1st team All SFL (11,12). The hard thrower was an honorable mention pick for all Metro (11). He was first team all Metro pitcher (12), based on an 11-2 record with an amazing 0.17 ERA. This included winning both ends of a double header vs. Marysville on Tuesday and Marshall on Friday to win the SFL championship. Coach Ted Acres once called him "the best pitcher Oakmont has ever had." Twice drafted by the Baltimore Orioles, Cal Poly gave him a full ride.
