Oakmont Hall of Fame Inductee - 2017
Bill Trythall - Student Athlete Class of 1989A four- year, three sport athlete, Bill was one of the most coachable athletes to attend Oakmont. In football, he played frosh , JV and varsity (11,12) as quarterback. He led the frosh to the SFL championship. He was the frosh MVP. He started for basketball (frosh-9, JV 10, Varsity 11, 12) during all years. For baseball, he played JV as a freshman, the varsity (10, 11, 12). His first varsity game against Roseville he hit a line drive to right for the winning walk-off RBI. The starting center fielder all three years, Bill tied the Sac area HR’s with 7, all away, since we had no fence. He was awarded all SFL ( 12) and All Metro (12) for batting .457. He started in the Baseball Optimist All Star Game.
