Oakmont Hall of Fame Inductee - 2016
Maria Sandoval - Student Athlete Class of 1979For varsity basketball, Maria was a 3-time SFL MVP, All Metro 1st team (11, 12), All Metro –Player of the Year (12). She was selected All-tourney in section playoffs (11, 12). For Oakmont, she holds the season (30/15, senior and 22.9/17.1 as junior) and career marks for points and rebounds. During her senior year, she shot 55% from the floor and 89% from the free throw line. Maria once scored 48 points in a single game. Four times she scored 40 points. She started in softball both years, and Volleyball all 3 years. Maria was 1st team All-SFL in volleyball (11, 12). She went to UCLA on a basketball scholarship.
