The District provides a $70,000 Basic Life & Accidental
Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance policy for employees qualified
and enrolled in benefits. Dependent Basic Life coverage is also provided,
but must be elected by an employee. Spouse coverage is $1,000 and
Child(ren) coverage, from live birth to 6 months is $250, and from 6 months to
age 26, is $1,000. These
policies are paid 100% by the district.
There is an additional Voluntary benefit package available for
employees at an employee’s expense. Voluntary packages include an
Employee Basic Life & AD&D policy, and if elected, a Spouse Basic Life
& AD&D policy and Child(ren) Basic Life policy are also

Voluntary coverage must be made within 30 days of hire date.
