You can return your textbooks with your class, if your teacher signs up with the Library, or you can return your textbooks during regular library hours.
The last day to return textbooks in the Fall is the day before Winter Break at 3 pm. The last day to return textbooks in the Spring is the last day of school at 3 pm.
You need your ID card, or you need to know your 6-digit student ID number.
How many books can I check out?
You can have up to 5 books checked out at a time.
How long can I keep the books I've checked out?
The loan period is 3 weeks for regular circulation and 6 weeks for Book Club/SSR books. For your convenience, we stamp the due date on a slip at the front of the book. You are responsible for remembering to return your book, so take note!
What if I haven't finished my book by the time it's due?
You can renew your book for another 3 weeks, as long as there isn't a hold on the book.
What is a "hold"?
When a student wants a book that is already checked out, we can put a "hold" on that book. This means that when the book is returned, we hold it for the student who requested it.
What happens if I return my book late?
If your book is more than 60 days late, the book will be marked lost, and you will be charged for the entire cost of the book unless you return it. Please return books on time so that other students have the opportunity to read the books as well!
When do I have to pay my fines?
You have to pay fines before you can purchase tickets for on campus events and/or before you graduate.
Where do I pay my fines?
If you have less than $5.00 in fines, then you can pay the librarian directly. If you have more than $5.00 in fines, you will have to pay Mrs. Carroll in Student Services. It may take 1-2 days to clear your fines after you pay Mrs. Carroll.
What happens if my book gets damaged while it's checked out to me?
You are responsible for keeping your book safe and sound. If it is damaged, you will be charged for the cost to repair or replace the book.

When using my Chromebook or a Library computer, what is a "school-appropriate" site?
Basically, if it's something you wouldn't want school personnel to know you're looking at, it's not okay. Remember, you are using a school-owned computer in a public setting, so keep it rated PG

What do I need to do to get my Chromebook repaired?
You can come to the Library during open hours to complete a repair form, or you can complete the online repair form prior to coming to the Library. Once you have completed the repair form, you will be given a loaner Chromebook (CB) AND charger until your Chromebook is repaired. The library will notify you and your parents when your repaired Chromebook is available for pickup. Please bring your loaner CB AND charger with you when you pick up your repaired CB. You will not be able to pick up the repaired CB unless you return both the loaner CB AND charger.
Can I print a couple of pages?
Sure! You are welcome to use our black-and-white printer
. It's 5 cents per page
. Be sure to check out the "Print Preview" before you print to make sure you know how many pages you're sending to the printer.
Can I print a class set?
Sure, but please don't use the printer. If you need a class set, see a staff member and we can get you all set up with the copy machine
