Independence High School

Trailblazers In Education

  • Welcome to Independence High School, home of the Trailblazers!

IHS is a free public high school in the Roseville Joint Union High School District.  Our school serves 9th - 12th grade through Graduation Pathways, a real-world curriculum designed to help students meet graduation requirements while offering flexibility to pursue education and career interests.

We also offer a Middle College Program.  This makes it possible for students to earn a high school diploma and start college early, while gaining credit toward a certificate or Associate's degree or while completing an internship or work study in the community - all tuition-free as part of IHS.

IHS is designed for students who learn at their own pace.  A personalized approach to learning and an individualized graduation plan allows students to truly engage with their academics in an environment that traditional class sizes can't provide.  Every student meets 1:1, 1:2, or in small class sizes with their teacher.

  • IHS Families

    Food Services

There are two food service options for IHS students to choose between.  All are free to all families.

    1. Daily: this option allows students to pick up lunch each day.

    2. Weekly: this option allows students to pick up 5 days of lunches at a single pickup.  Note: Some of the food needs refrigeration. This option is created to help students who are fully online so they don’t have to go to campus each day for lunch.  If there are transportation difficulties picking up the lunches, please let us know.

If food services are needed, please fill out this survey
