Ann Simpson - Oakmont Faculty and Coach (1971-1997)

Coach Ann Simpson (1972-1997) was an outstanding cross country and track coach. She was an assistant coach for many years in both before taking over as head coach. During her Cross-Country reign (1981-1996), the teams were strong, finished high in league and subsection races. The boys were SFL champs from 1982-87…6 consecutive years!  The girls were the SFL champs in 1983 and 1985, along with the CVC in ’93 and CAL in ’95. She had several runners qualify for the state meet, including her entire 1996 girls team. She was also head track coach in 1990-91. The girls were the CVC champs both years.
