Bags & Coolers & Purses
- Coolers are not permitted.
- All bags/purses are subject to search.
- Student graduates may not bring bags or purses. Please leave all bags (large or small) at home. Students may not leave anything in the gym or any classrooms/buildings.
- Guests may bring small purses.

Balloons & Noise-Makers
To ensure all of our guests can enjoy the viewing and celebration of their graduate, we ask that families do not bring balloons and noise-makers into the stands during the ceremony. Posters and pompoms, however, are welcome, but please be mindful of guests seated behind you.

Cap, Gown, Tassel
Students may not decorate their cap at the ceremony. Caps that are decorated will be confiscated by administration and returned to the student at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Diploma Pick-Up
After the ceremony, students may pick up their diplomas at the Stadium Ticket Booth until 9:15PM. Only the graduate themselves may pick up the diploma. Students may wait to pick up their diplomas until the following Monday 8:00am-4:00pm. All fees must be paid in advance before the diploma will be released.
Keep your diploma in a safe place. Duplicates will not be made available.

Graduate Attire (what grads can/cannot wear)
Graduates will wear the approved cap, gown, and tassel (see link above to order) during the ceremony. Clothing worn underneath must adhere to our Dress Code Policy.
Shoes
Stilettos and pointed heels are NOT permitted on the field as it will damage the turf. Wedges and block heels are permitted, but please be aware that graduates will be crossing elevated ramps and stages, so please make sure you are comfortable in walking in your shoe choice. In most cases your shoes will be visible for photo opportunities, and we want you to look your best for this once in a lifetime occasion.Accessories
Sunglasses when seated are permitted but not on the way to your seat or on the platform while receiving a diploma.Purses/Handbags
Student graduates may not bring purses or backpacks. Graduates will not have a secured location to store it. Please leave your personal items with your loved ones or at home.Leis
Graduates may wear cultural or religious attire (such as the Kukui Nut lei worn in the Polynesian culture).Medals & Awards
Graduates who earned a medal or stole received at the Senior Awards Night are encouraged to wear it at over their gowns during the ceremony (view details).Etc.
No noisemakers, beach balls, or individual outbursts. -
Language Translation Services
If your family requires sign language or other language translation, please contact Paige Cahill at pcahill@rjuhsd.us no later than April 30th. A designated seating area will be reserved for the hearing impaired.

Parking
We have very limited parking availability. We ask that all parents, students, and staff to please carpool. Students, please have your families drop you off.
Staff parking will be located in the small lot located at the north end of the football stadium.

Seniors have the opportunity to perform at Graduation. There is a tryout for any student, or student groups to audition for the chance to perform. Please click on the link below for more information and to sign up for your audition time slot.

Tickets
All Seniors will receive 10 free tickets:
- 4 tickets for seats on the field and
- 6 tickets for seats in the stands.
Distribution will be on Wednesday, May 29th at 12:30PM after Senior Picnic. Students must complete the check-out process on Wednesday morning to receive a wristband showing they are cleared to receive their graduation tickets that afternoon.
If there are tickets left after the initial distribution, students who need the extra tickets will be required to wait after ticket distribution. Grads must be present to obtain the tickets - no exceptions.
All persons over the age of 2 requires a ticket (2 and under must sit on the lap).

- 6:15pm - Students must arrive NO LATER than 6:15 (gates to the stadium will open to families at 6:00 p.m.)
- 9:00pm - Buses arrive at WPHS for Sober Grad Night
- 12:30am-3:30am - Cruising aboard the “San Francisco Spirit”
Graduates must attend practice to participate in the ceremony. Those that do not attend practice will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony. NO EXCEPTIONS.
To save parking spaces, please do not have students drive their own cars, especially if they are attending Sober Grad Night as parking lot gates will be locked overnight.
