The ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessment for California) is the assessment used to assess students' language acquisition and fluency which is administered in the spring.
The ELPAC is the required state test for English language proficiency (ELP) that must be given to students whose primary language is a language other than English. State and federal law require that we administer this assessment annually to English Learner students. The ELPAC is aligned with the 2012 California English Language Development Standards. You will only see ELPAC scores if your student is an English Learner. If so, you will be receiving additional information in another notification.
If you have questions or concerns, or would like a paper copy of your student’s results, please contact your student’s school and ask to speak with their testing coordinator. General CAASPP testing questions can be emailed to Shane Waggoner, Director of CTE & Assessment, at firstname.lastname@example.org. ELPAC related questions can be emailed to Melanie Anvari (Pando), Coordinator of Intervention & EL Support, at email@example.com.
