Tim Frei - Student Athlete Class of 1987

Tim Frei (’87) was an actual 4-year football QB and one in basketball as the point guard for 4 years. In football, his teams had winning records as: the best record of any OHS JV team (8-1) and the best for a varsity team at 8-2, as a senior (until the ’91 team at 8-1). His senior year saw second place finish in the SFL, followed by placing second in the section in the SJS playoffs. Tim’s 255 yds passing vs. Ponderosa and the total of 1,147 yards for the season that year were Oakmont records. His frosh basketball team was the first undefeated basketball team going 15-0. A varsity hoops starter as a sophomore, he is proud of being given the task of guarding the orange school’s point guard…successfully. He was voted to the All-Area team (12). He was a track runner and jumper for 3 years. Tim went on to play both football and basketball at Sierra.
