Kendra Silver - Student Athlete Class of 1982Kendra Silver (’82) was a very successful two-sport athlete. In volleyball, she was JV MVP as a sophomore (10), All SFL 2nd team her junior year (11) and team captain her senior year (12). In softball, she was SFL honorable mention as a sophomore (10), and 1st team All SFL as a senior (12). She had a .325 lifetime batting average during her varsity years (10-12), Kendra went on to play both volleyball (played in the all-star game) and softball (all conference first team) at Sierra. Despite being an excellent student, she remembers her days with teammates as the most special. Her highlight was being the hitter to break up a no-hitter in the ’81 section playoff (with help from Assistant Greg Holmes), which sparked the team on to victory. The Vikings went on to win the section championship.
