"Jenny was a member of the OHS family for the past 35 years. In addition to teaching math, Jenny served as the OHS Cheer Coach for 27 years. Many knew her as, teacher, colleague, coach, or Weaster (to so many in her cheer family). Besides being an incredible friend to so many of us, she was an inspiration and daily reminder of how much more we can do if we put our minds to it.For those of you who didn't know Jenny, she had been wheelchair bound since a skiing accident when she was a young girl. What was so very special about Jenny was that she never saw herself being limited by the wheelchair she spent her days in. She saw herself as a teacher, coach, colleague....she saw herself as someone who could....someone who could teach at a high level. She saw herself as a national champion caliber cheer coach....not just one....but 7 national championships. Despite a skiing accident taking away her ability to walk, Jenny saw herself as a skier....something she did every winter (as often as she could). She saw herself as a skydiver....yep, she did that too. There wasn't anything this incredible woman could not do! Like all of us, Jenny had her obstacles in life.,,,BUT....her obstacles never stopped her from living life to the absolute fullest. " quote from Rob Hasty, Executive Director of Human Resources at Roseville Joint Union High School District.Jenny's family is starting a scholarship to help seniors at Oakmont. Please consider donating to the scholarship fund in her memory and we will award seniors a scholarship so they can go out and accomplish their dreams. The scholarship will be part of the RJUHSD Local Scholarship Program and we hope to raise enough money to award seniors every year for many years.
