    SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

X-ray of two hands making a heart symbol

Watch a student production of the Pulitzer Prize winning play, EVERYBODY

St. Mary's College is  pleased to offer free tickets for high school students and counselors to our fall production of EVERYBODY. Don't miss this opportunity to introduce your students to a boldly entertaining work by a rising star in American theatre, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.

    Nov. 3 - 7 at 5:00 PM

    Nov. 14 (virtual)

A finalist for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize, EVERYBODY is a wise and joyful riff on the fifteenth-century morality play Everyman. The action follows Everybody (chosen by lottery from among the cast at each performance) on a journey towards life’s greatest mystery—mortality itself. EVERYBODY playfully satirizes contemporary culture even as it refreshes our gratitude for the gift of life.

Saint Mary’s production will be staged outdoors on campus, as a processional event timed to unfold from sunset through twilight into darkness. Masks required. The five in-person performances of EVERYBODY are Nov. 3-6 (5 PM) and Nov. 7 (4 PM). For students out-of-area or those who can not attend in-person, there will be one pre-recorded performance, available for ticketed viewing on Nov. 14.

To request free tickets pre-registration is required using this link: https://admissions.stmarys-ca.edu/register/everybodyplay21

Each ticket comes with an invitation to tour Saint Mary’s College, with both in-person and virtual options available.

Located next door to one of the country's most diverse and innovative cultural centers, Saint Mary's Theatre Program:

    • Provides conservatory-caliber training in a uniquely student-centered, Liberal Arts setting
    • Offers two tracks in the theatre major: Performance & Theatre Studies and Design & Technical Theatre
    • Awards generous $13,000 scholarships (renewable for 4 years) to incoming first-years selected by audition and interview.
