Independence High School

Trailblazers In Education

  • Welcome to Independence High School, home of the Trailblazers!

IHS is a free public high school in the Roseville Joint Union High School District.  Our school serves 9th - 12th grade through Graduation Pathways, a real-world curriculum designed to help students meet graduation requirements while offering flexibility to pursue education and career interests.

We also offer a Middle College Program.  This makes it possible for students to earn a high school diploma and start college early, while gaining credit toward a certificate or Associate's degree or while completing an internship or work study in the community - all tuition-free as part of IHS.

IHS is designed for students who learn at their own pace.  A personalized approach to learning and an individualized graduation plan allows students to truly engage with their academics in an environment that traditional class sizes can't provide.  Every student meets 1:1, 1:2, or in small class sizes with their teacher.
