On December 15th, 2022, Mrs. Bowman and Ms. Reynoso hosted West Park High School's 3rd, Bi-Annual Art Show, as part of the Winter Visual and Preforming Arts Showcase. Families gathered to admire Mrs. Bowman's Art 2 and 3 students' work and Ms. Reynoso's Art 1 students' work, which was all very colorful, creative and unique. Both art teachers gave students many opportunities to create pieces unique to who they are, and reflect their interests and passions. Mrs. Bowman and Ms. Reynoso are excited to be working together this year, and thrilled to be working with so many creative and talented young artists. View more photos from the event here.

  • Teacher's Dog Portraits

West Park High School Teacher's Dog

Dog portraits is one of the most popular assignments in Art 1 as students study realism, texture, and get to paint and draw their own dogs. This year students had the option to choose from one of our West Park High School teacher's or staff member's dogs. Many students opted to paint their teacher's dogs, who seemed to be quite the characters. Teachers excitedly accepted these gifts during a staff meeting, and graciously thanked the students for their work.
