My name is Isabel Sandoval; I am a Special Education teacher for the Oakmont HIgh School FSP Transition Program. My teaching career began in 2015 but have been in the field since 2001 as a paraeducator, behavior therapist, and long term sub teacher. The journey has been long and I have enjoyed every minute of it!
Teaching means so much to me, it has a special place in my heart. I have two older siblings with disabilities and I understand the importance of being provided with many meaningful learning opportunities; because of that, I care deeply about each of my students. I knew I wanted to be a special education teacher early in life (as early as 3rd grade!).
I was born and raised in San Jose; I moved to Roseville in 2019 and have enjoyed this new chapter of my life. I do miss being close to the beach though! I obtained my bachlor's degree and Special Education Credential at San Jose State University... Go Spartans!
When I am not teaching I spend my time with my sons, Quetzalcoatl and Xiuhcoatl, and siblings, Juanita and Javier. We LOVE going to museums and zoos. I also enjoyiong reading and scapbooking.
