Mr. Jesse Padilla

This is my first year at Woodcreek High School and I am excited to serve as Assistant Principal working with the class of 2022. My family and I recently relocated from the Bay Area where I worked as both an Assistant Principal and Science teacher. My teaching career began in San Leandro, CA where I taught 7th grade life science from 2009 - 2012. From there I moved to Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, CA where I taught Biology and Integrated Physical Science from 2012 - 2017. After leaving Dougherty Valley I served as Assistant Principal at West High School in Tracy, CA for the 2017-18 school year.

I grew up on the Central Coast and enjoy surfing, hiking, snowboarding, snorkeling and golfing. I was also a High School and Collegiate wrestler at UC Davis and coached the sport for over 10 years. I am a strong supporter of the sport and credit a lot of my successes to my time on the mat and the support of my coaches. As a teacher and a coach, I have been able to transition may of the skills I have learned from athletics into the work with my students. I am continually striving to encourage and grow students to be their best selves just as the teachers and coaches in my life did for me.

I look forward to supporting the class of 2022 and all of the students at WHS as we strive to "Find Our Balance."
