Ms. Hayden Olhiser
Welcome! My name is Hayden Olhiser and I am a Special Education/Math teacher here at Antelope. This is my fourth year at Antelope and I am excited to be working in the community I grew up in.
Professionally, I have worked in the field of special education and math, in multiple capacties, over the past six years. Prior to teaching I worked as a behavioral technician for an applied behavioral anaylsis company and as a paraeductor for another local high school. I hold a bachelors of science degree in Human Development and a minor in Education from the University of California, Davis; additionally, I hold an Education Specialist Credential and Masters in Special Education from National University.
I am passionate about teaching and am driven to providing my students with the tools and resources to succeed both academically and beyond. In the classroom, it is my mission to prioitize relationships, develop a safe and comfortable learning environment, and set high expectations. I realize that students come is all different packages and work diligently to address all learning styles that walk into my classroom.
Outside of the classroom, I am an avid baker, hiker and explorer. In my spare time you will likely find me baking cupcakes, enjoying the outdoors, or traveling the world. Besides teaching, my other passion is coaching softball; I have coached high school softball, youth travel ball, and special olympics. Additionally, I am the Unified Sports Coordinator for the district as well as the leader advisor for the Best Buddies Program here at Antelope.
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you! It feels great to be a TITAN!
