Mr. Todd Higley

PLTW Computer Science Instructor

I am passionate about teaching in the fields of computer science and technology education. The future is written by those who have the skills required to succeed in a fast paced technology based world. For students to be on the cutting edge of the business world they must experience current technologies and use them to build the world of tomorrow. Students who complete my courses can expect to be informed about current markets and technology. I would enjoy sharing my passion with students in Placer County by serving in the position of AP Computer Science Instructor. I feel I would be an effective AP Computer Science instructor because I have been an instructor for almost nine years in the field of technology introducing students to the world of programming in JavaScript, python, action script, CSS, and HTML as well as visual design environments such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Premiere Pro, After Effects and InDesign. I have developed curriculum for courses such as: Website Design, Video Production, Arts Media and Entertainment, Computer Applications, Business Management and Ownership, and Arts Management. I would love to increase these skills by becoming AP certified and teaching AP Computer Science. I enjoy being a team player and participating in all aspects of the world of education. Feel free to follow Antelope Computer Science daily happenings at @antelopecs on Twitter.
