Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Arts in English, Chico State, 2001 Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, Sac State, 2009

Ms. Dani Guzman

Prolific reader, Mrs Guzman grew up reading science fiction and fantasy where dragons were slain, universes were explored, and strong female characters dominated the pages. That being said- Mrs Guzman also loves the classics and her favorite text is Pride and Prejudice (where Elizabeth Bennet, also a stud of a female character, reigns). Known as someone who is enthusiastic and energetic, it is no surprise to her mother that she ended up pursuing a career as an English teacher upon graduating from Chico State in 2001 and later obtaining a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Sac State. Guzman's favorite thing about being a teacher is how amazing and entertaining teenagers are to have as students. In her classroom one can usually anticipate reading, writing, and critical thinking and her students uniting to save the world one literary analysis essay at a time.
