Roseville High School

Home of the Tigers

To the Parents/Guardians of Students at Roseville High School:
This letter is to inform you that RHS has been identified as a Year 5 Program Improvement (PI) school under the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001. RHS met 16 of the 17 Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) benchmarks. The only benchmark we did not reach was “Hispanic or Latino Mathematics Proficiency for 10th Graders” as measured by the California High School Exit Exam. This is in spite of the fact that RHS students have achieved an average 797 API score over the last three years, a 95% graduation rate, and over 70% of the most recent graduates met the University of California and California State University’s A-G Recommended Course of Study.
The NCLB Act requires us to notify all parents of our PI status. As parents/guardians of a student currently attending a PI school, you have the right to request a transfer of your child to a non-PI school within the Roseville Joint Union High School District. If the demand for parent choice exceeds an individual school’s capacity, priority will be given to lowest achieving, low-income students.
